Maryborough takes on domestic violence through special programs

If one of Garry Higgins’ employees came to work with a black eye and no funny story to go with it, he wouldn’t know what to say to her, or how to respond. “But I want to learn,” he says. “We need those skills in this community.”

The Maryborough baker, as president of the local Rotary club, is this week launching a very public and focused stand against family violence.
